Donation Q&A’s

We realise times are tough for everyone and giving your money to a charity can be a difficult decision. We’ve therefore introduced a ‘£5 Monthly Give’ as we believe that lots of small, affordable and, regular contributions TOGETHER can lead to BIG positive changes in the pre-schools we support in Malawi.

Join our £5 MonthlyGive and help us build a brighter future, one month at a time.

Of course, if you want to donate a higher amount or a one-off donation we’d be delighted too!

We currently support over 400 children attending 3 pre-schools in Malawi: Golden Kids, Moana and Future4all. Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world. Many schools have created pre-schools but  are very short of QUALITY educational resources. We want to help teachers and children have a positive and enriched early years experience so with YOUR generous help, we want to help plug this gap.

Mwana spends all its money directly supporting pre-schools in Malawi. Your kind donation will buy many basic items such as books, pencils, art resources, quality toys and indoor/outdoor play equipment. In the past we have funded books, educational toys, audio/visual equipment, play equipment and practical support for teachers.

The Charity Aid Foundation manage our donations. Out of every £1 donated they aim to give us 90p – the remaining covers their donation platform costs.

We use the platform of the UK’s Charity Aid Foundation (CAF). It provides a secure, easy to use platform for donors. Once you decide to donate, you will be forwarded to CAF’s secure portal to enter your details.

Mwana operates within an agreed Grant Giving procedural framework that adhers to the Charity Commission’s Financial controls, due dlligence and audit trails.

Who runs Mwana Education support? Mwana EDucation Support is run by four professional women with a deep passion for children’s global health, well-being and development.
